Amusement Park (Vidam Park), Budapest
A wide variety of modern and traditional amusements are in store for visitors at the Amusement Park.
The longest wooden frame roller coaster in Europe
The present Amusement Park covers a 6.5-hectare area and has 50 different rides, five of which are listed heritage. Among the traditional rides are the Merry-Go-Round (Körhinta), built in 1906 and restored to its original splendour, and the longest wooden frame Roller Coaster (Hullámvasút) in Europe, used continuously since 1922.
One of the most popular modern rides is the Looping Star, a roller coaster from Scotland, which loops the loop. The interactive goal scoring game, Goal King (Gólkirály), and the Laser Dodgem (Lézerdodzsem) are the biggest ones of their kind in the world and are unique in Europe.
The Children's Garden (Gyermekkert) is for children under 10 years old. There is no entrance fee but, as in the other areas of the Amusement Park, visitors pay for individual rides.
