Budapest

The capital of Hungary, it is the country's administrative, cultural and academic centre.

Over 800 significant heritage sites can be visited here in the city, as well as more than 200 museums and galleries and two areas designated as World Heritage Sites (the Danube panorama with the Buda Castle along with the superb group of buildings in Pest and Andrássy Avenue and Heroes' Square). Over 40 theatres, numerous concert venues and the opera house all guarantee a wide range of entertainment and recreation while the spas built around the thermal waters provide both relaxation and healing. And that's not all, even natural rarities can be found here such as the cave system that evolved within the Buda Hills.
