Kekesteto (Blue Peak)

Online szállásfoglalás

Hungary's highest peak lies in the Mátra hills: the Kékestető is 1014 metres high. The point of height is marked by a stone painted with the national tricolour directly beneath the TV tower and lookout.

The protected flora and fauna, the rare high-mountainous beech biocoenosis, are safeguarded by the Mátra Land Protection Area (tájvédelmi körzet) established in 1985. The northern slopes of the Kékes and the area of the Eagle's Rock (Saskő) are both strictly protected.
