Memorial House of Peter Veres (emlekhaz), Balmazujvaros
The memorial house to PéterVeres, the writer of the peasants of the plains, was established in the house where he was born. His writings, documents and personal belongings recall the life path of the writer-politician.
In his main works Péter Veres wrote about his experiences while he resided in Balmazújváros: 'Peasants of the Great Plains' (Az Alföld parasztsága), 'Grassy Lane' (Gyepsor), and 'Three Generations' (Három nemzedék).
