Millennium Underground Railway (Millenniumi Foldalatti), Budapest
The stops of the first stretch of the "little underground" (kis földalatti) which were finished in 1896 are listed as State Protected Heritage. The white and burgundy tiles, the cast iron pillars, and the wooden accessories create the distinctive atmosphere.
The second underground in Europe after London, it was thus the first on the continent.
