Nagydorog
The village is situated next to rivers Sió and Sárvíz.
Locals are proud of the settlement's name which is derived from the old Slavic term 'drog', meaning friend. Amongst the owners of these lands was the powerful Széchenyi family. Another minister native of Nagydorog, Michael Benedek, became a Reformed bishop and was one of the authors of the famous Debrecen Grammatika.
The nearby conservation area of Szenes legelő (coaly or charred willow) is worth a visit. A particular attraction is the Museum of Hats and Bonnets (Kalap és Sipka Múzeum).
