Strazsa Hill Study Trail (Strazsa-hegyi tanosveny), Esztergom
The entire Kis-Strázsa Hill is a nature reserve. Certain parts are under strict protection due to the rare plant communities living here.
The study trail leads the length of the area; informative boards highlight the distinctive flora and fauna of the habitat. Take a trip to the former stone quarry to discover the geology. From the top of the hill and from the lookout up there a superb view opens up over Esztergom.
Roads leading up to the former mines and the peak are closed with barriers but can be used on prior arrangement, thus enabling vehicle access to the top. Guided tours are only available on prior request; make an appointment by telephone.
The study trail is not accessible by wheelchair due to its steepness. The Strázsa Hill Study Trail can be reached by bus from Budapest and Esztergom; as well as by local buses from Esztergom.
